...A FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1145 PM EDT FOR
SOUTHERN OTSEGO AND NORTHWESTERN DELAWARE COUNTIES...

AT 1015 PM EDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR CONTINUED TO 
INDICATE THAT RAIN WAS FALLING ACROSS THE WARNED AREA. DOPPLER RADAR 
HAS ESTIMATED THAT BETWEEN 2 AND 4 INCHES OF RAIN HAS FALLEN BETWEEN 
LAURENS AND ONEONTA AND UP TO 5 INCHES BETWEEN MILFORD AND 
SCHENEVUS. 

THE RAIN HAS BECOME LIGHTER AND WILL CONTINUE THROUGH THE 
NIGHT...BUT THE HEAVY RAIN HAS ENDED. RUNOFF FROM THE INTENSE RAINS 
EARLIER THIS EVENING CONTINUE TO CAUSE FLASH FLOOD PROBLEMS... 
ESPECIALLY IN THE ONEONTA AREA WHERE NUMEROUS ROADS ARE FLOODED.

WEATHER SERVICE BY CALLING TOLL FREE AT 1-888-603-1402...OR BY EMAIL

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE
DANGERS OF FLOODING. IF FLASH FLOODING IS OBSERVED ACT QUICKLY. MOVE
UP TO HIGHER GROUND TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS. DO NOT STAY IN AREAS
SUBJECT TO FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS RISING.
