...A wintry mix of precipitation expected today...

A mixture of rain and snow with a few pockets of freezing rain
are expected to occur today. Cooler air will spread in from the
west later this afternoon and cause precipitation to transition to
snow showers. Snow showers will taper off overnight. Windy
conditions across Turnagain Arm, Anchorage Bowl, and portions of
the Matanuska Valley will diminish through this afternoon.

Although most areas are expected to be above freezing today, rain
falling on icy roads will produce difficult driving conditions.
Motorists should allow extra time for commuting.
