AT ABOUT 5:08PM ON SATURDAY JUNE 8, 2019 A TORNADO MADE A BRIEF TOUCHDOWN IN 
RUTHERFORD COUNTY, NORTH CAROLINA.  THE TORNADO CROSSED WEBB ROAD NEAR 377 WEBB 
ROAD AND UPROOTED SEVERAL TREES AROUND A HOUSE AT THAT LOCATION, AS WELL AS DOWNING
A POWERLINE.  PRIVATE DRONE FOOTAGE OF THE DAMAGE SHOWING CONVERGENT TREE FALLS ALONG
WITH KGSP DOPPLER RADAR DATA SHOWING A BRIEF CIRCULATION AT THAT LOCATION CONFIRM THE
BRIEF TOUCHDOWN OF A TORNADO.  MOST SIGNIFICANT DAMAGE WAS LARGE TREES BEING UPROOTED
IN MOIST SOIL, RESULTING IN A LOW-END VELOCITY ESTIMATE OF EF0.

FOLLOWING CATEGORIES:
