...PATCHY FREEZING RAIN POSSIBLE IN THE MATANUSKA VALLEY MONDAY
MORNING...

THERE IS A CHANCE OF PATCHY FREEZING RAIN ACROSS THE MATANUSKA
VALLEY MONDAY MORNING. AREAS OF LIGHT RAIN WILL MOVE INTO THE
REGION BETWEEN ABOUT 3 AND 6 AM. WITH SURFACE TEMPERATURES AROUND
FREEZING, SOME OF THIS RAIN COULD FREEZE ON CONTACT WITH AREA
ROADWAYS, RESULTING IN PATCHES OF ICE. THE RAIN WILL BE LIGHT AND
INTERMITTENT DURING THE EARLY MORNING HOURS, SO ANY ICE THAT DOES
FORM IS EXPECTED TO BE ISOLATED IN NATURE. STILL, MOTORISTS ARE
URGED TO USE CAUTION, ESPECIALLY ALONG LESS TRAVELED NEIGHBORHOOD
ROADS.

TEMPERATURES IN THE ANCHORAGE AREA ARE EXPECTED TO REMAIN ABOVE
FREEZING, RESULTING IN LIGHT RAIN.
