NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE TAMPA BAY RUSKIN FL
101 PM EST SAT DEC 14 2019

.DISCUSSION...
JUST A SMALL LINE OF SHOWERS ARE IN PLACE ACROSS SOUTHERN
HIGHLANDS COUNTY AND THE FRONT ITSELF IS FURTHER BACK PUSHING
INTO THE TAMPA BAY REGION. WINDS ARE W/NW ACROSS THE AREA, AND
WILL BE TURNING TO THE NE OVERNIGHT AS THE FRONT CONTINUES TO PUSH
SOUTH AND HIGH PRESSURE BUILDS IN BEHIND IT. WILL KEEP THE RIP
CURRENT RISK IN PLACE THROUGH TONIGHT WITH THE ONSHORE FLOW. THE
HIGH CENTER SHIFTS EAST OF THE AREA SUNDAY WITH RIDGING REMAINING
ACROSS THE STATE THROUGH TUESDAY. A COLD FRONT WILL THEN MOVE
THROUGH THE AREA AGAIN TUESDAY NIGHT INTO WEDNESDAY, BRINGING
SHOWERS AND A FEW THUNDERSTORMS ACROSS THE AREA. COOLER AND DRIER
HIGH PRESSURE THEN BUILD INTO THE AREA BEHIND THE FRONT FOR
WEDNESDAY/WEDNESDAY NIGHT ALONG WITH SOME GUSTY WINDS MAINLY ALONG
THE COAST. TEMPS WILL DROP ABOUT 20 DEGREES BEHIND THIS FRONT,
WITH HIGHS ONLY REACHING INTO THE UPPER 50S TO UPPER 60S FOR
WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON, AND LOWS IN THE MID 30S TO AROUND 50
WEDNESDAY NIGHT. CONDITIONS THEN SLOWLY MODERATE UNDER HIGH
PRESSURE THROUGH THE END OF THE WEEK. ANOTHER LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM
WILL BE POSSIBLE SATURDAY, BRINGING SHOWERS AND A FEW STORMS.

&&

.AVIATION...
WINDS WILL CONTINUE FROM THE NW THROUGH THE DAY, WITH THE WIND
SPEED DIMINISHING AFTER SUNSET. WINDS WILL THEN TURN TO THE NE
AND BECOME LIGHT AFTER MIDNIGHT AND SKIES CLEARING. WINDS CONTINUE
TO TURN TO THE E/SE FOR SUNDAY WITH VFR CONDITIONS.

&&

.MARINE...
NW WINDS IN PLACE WILL VEER TO THE NE OVERNIGHT, THEN CONTINUE TO
TURN TO THE E/SE THROUGH SUNDAY/MONDAY AS HIGH PRESSURE SHIFTS
EAST AND ANOTHER COLD FRONT APPROACHES THE AREA. THE FRONT MOVES
THROUGH TUESDAY NIGHT, WITH WINDS TURNING TO THE NW AND INCREASING
TO NEAR SCA LEVELS BEHIND THE FRONT AND CONTINUING THROUGH
WEDNESDAY/WEDNESDAY NIGHT. THERE WILL ALSO BE SOME SHOWERS AND
STORMS POSSIBLE WITH THE FRONT.

&&

.FIRE WEATHER...
A LITTLE DRIER AIR IN PLACE FOR SUNDAY AFTERNOON, BUT NO CRITICAL
HUMIDITIES EXPECTED. MOISTURE RETURNS THROUGH TUESDAY, THEN SOME
DRIER AIR RETURNS BEHIND THE NEXT FRONT FOR WEDNESDAY. COLDER AIR
TEMPERATURES BEHIND THAT FRONT WILL KEEP HUMIDITIES ABOVE ANY
CRITICAL LEVELS THOUGH.
