...THE NOAA WEATHER RADIO NYC TRANSMITTER KWO-35 REMAINS ON THE AIR 
TO TEST TRANSMISSION...

NOAA WEATHER RADIO STATION KWO-35, OPERATING ON A FREQUENCY OF 
162.550 MHZ BASED OUT OF NEW YORK CITY, WILL CONTINUE TO BE ON THE 
AIR IN TEST TRANSMISSION CAPACITY FROM THE NEW LOCATION.  

THE TRANSMITTER IS OPERATING AT REDUCED POWER FOR THIS TEST SO AREAL 
COVERAGE OF THESE BROADCASTS WILL BE LIMITED. THE TEST IS SCHEDULED 
TO BE COMPLETE BY THE END OF MARCH WITH OPERATIONS OF THE NEW 
TRANSMITTER SCHEDULED TO START IN APRIL. WE ARE CURRENTLY INVOLVED 
IN THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE NEW LOCATION AND ARE WORKING TOWARDS A 
FULL OPERATION. FURTHER INFORMATION ON AN ACTUAL TIME OF RETURN TO 
SERVICE WILL BE PROVIDED ONCE THE TESTS AND CONSTRUCTION HAVE BEEN 
CONCLUDED THROUGH PUBLIC INFORMATION STATEMENTS.
