THE FOLLOWING MESSAGE IS TRANSMITTED AT THE REQUEST OF THE HATCHER 
PASS AVALANCHE CENTER 12:00PM TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 18, 2020.

THE HATCHER PASS AVALANCHE CENTER HAS ISSUED A BACKCOUNTRY AVALANCHE 
WARNING.

* TIMING: IN EFFECT FROM 12 PM AKST THIS MORNING TO 12 PM AKST 
  TOMORROW.

* AFFECTED AREA: HATCHER PASS

* AVALANCHE DANGER: THE AVALANCHE HAZARD IS HIGH TODAY.

* REASON/IMPACTS: RECENT HEAVY SNOW COMBINED WITH WIND WILL CREATE 
  WIDESPREAD AREAS OF UNSTABLE SNOW.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS: AVALANCHES MAY RUN LONG 
DISTANCES, INTO FLAT AREAS, OR REACH THE ROAD SYSTEM. AVOID THE 
ARCHANGEL SKI TRAIL.

SIMILAR AVALANCHE DANGER MAY EXIST AT LOCATIONS OUTSIDE THE COVERAGE 
AREA OF AVALANCHE CENTERS.
