ON AUGUST 8, 2020, THE NATIONAL
WEATHER SERVICE (NWS) FORECAST OFFICE IN ANCHORAGE ALASKA AND THE
ALASKA-PACIFIC RIVER FORECAST CENTER (APRFC) WILL BE CHANGING THE
FLOOD STAGES FOR MONTANA CREEK AND THE TALKEETNA RIVER IN THE 
MATSU BOROUGH. 

FLOOD STAGES WERE CHANGED DUE TO FIELD OBSERVATIONS DURING SPRING
MELT AS WELL AS OBSERVATIONS FROM PREVIOUS FLOOD EVENTS. A 
SUMMARY OF THE CHANGES ARE SUMMARIZED BELOW, ALL VALUES 
IN FEET:
