...FREEZE ENDS THE GROWING SEASON IN MOST OF NORTHERN AND EASTERN
MAINE...

AFTER SEVERAL NIGHTS WITH WIDESPREAD FROST AND FREEZING
TEMPERATURES, THE FROST/FREEZE PROGRAM WILL END FOR THE FALL 2020
SEASON ACROSS ALL BUT COASTAL HANCOCK AND COASTAL WASHINGTON
COUNTIES WERE THE PROGRAM WILL REMAIN ACTIVE.  

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE WILL NO LONGER ISSUE FROST 
ADVISORIES OR FREEZE WARNINGS, HOWEVER, AS LONG AS THE PROGRAM 
REMAINS ACTIVE ALONG THE COAST WE WILL CONTINUE TO INCLUDE FROST 
IN THE FORECAST. 

PLEASE CHECK WEATHER.GOV/CAR FOR THE LATEST FORECASTS.  

WE ARE AWARE THAT ALTHOUGH THE GROWING SEASON HAS ENDED FOR MOST,
THAT IF YOU HAVE A GREEN HOUSE, LIVE RIGHT ALONG A LAKE SHORE, OR
ON TOP OF A HILL THAT YOU MAY STILL TAKE PRECAUTIONS TO COVER
SENSITIVE VEGETATION. WE ENCOURAGE YOU TO MONITOR THE LATEST
TEMPERATURE FORECASTS.
