FEBRUARY WAS SEVERAL DEGREES COLDER THAN NORMAL, AND WITH A
SIGNIFICANT COLD SPELL AND WINTER WEATHER EVENT SPREAD ACROSS 
SEVERAL DAYS.

IN NASHVILLE, THE AVERAGE TEMPERATURE WAS 38.4 DEGREES. THIS WAS
3.3 DEGREES BELOW NORMAL. THE AVERAGE HIGH TEMPERATURE WAS 47.0
DEGREES AND THE AVERAGE LOW TEMPERATURE WAS 29.9 DEGREES. THE
WARMEST TEMPERATURE WAS 75 DEGREES ON THE 24TH AND 28TH, AND THE
COLDEST TEMPERATURE WAS 11 DEGREES ON THE 16TH. THERE WERE 18 DAYS
WHEN THE TEMPERATURE DROPPED TO 32 DEGREES OR BELOW, AND THE
TEMPERATURE REMAINED ENTIRELY BELOW FREEZING FOR 7 CONSECUTIVE
DAYS, FROM THE 12TH THROUGH THE 18TH.

MONTHLY PRECIPITATION TOTALED 4.81 INCHES. THIS WAS 0.87 INCHES
ABOVE NORMAL. THE GREATEST 24 HOUR RAINFALL WAS 1.67 INCHES ON THE
