SURVEY SUMMARY: 
TORNADO SPUN UP NEAR THE MINNESOTA RIVER VALLEY ABOUT 
4 MILES WEST OF MILAN AND TRACKED NORTH NORTHEAST TO 4 MILES NORTHWEST
OF GLENWOOD. THERE WAS A SMALL GAP BETWEEN THIS TORNADO AND THE FORADA 
TORNADO AND ADDITIONAL INVESTIGATION IS NEEDED TO SEE IF IT WAS A
SINGLE TRACK. NEAR CONTINUOUS TREE DAMAGE WAS FOUND ALONG THE TRACK. 
SOME FARM OUTBUILDINGS AND ELECTRICAL TRANSMISSION LINES WERE DAMAGED.
SEVERAL AGRICULTURE IRRIGATION SYSTEMS WERE OVERTURNED.

SURVEY SUMMARY: TORNADO RATED EF1 WITH ESTIMATED MAXIMUM WINDS OF 95 MPH. PATH 
LENGTH 15.4 MILES WITH A MAXIMUM WIDTH OF 300 YARDS. THE TORNADO 
TORE THROUGH THE EASTERN SIDE OF EAGLE BEND. IT KNOCKED DOWN OR 
SNAPPED MANY TREES, PARTIALLY REMOVED ROOFS FROM SEVERAL HOUSES, 
PEELED TIN OFF THE ROOF OF MULTIPLE SHEDS AND BUILDINGS, AND TOOK 
THE TOP OFF THREE MASSIVE AND FILLED GRAIN BINS IN EAGLE BEND. IT 
ENDED ABOUT 4.5 MILES SOUTHWEST OF STAPLES WHERE THE SCATTERED TREE 
DAMAGE PATTERN COULD NO LONGER BE DETERMINED TO BE OF TORNADIC 
ORIGIN.

SURVEY SUMMARY: TORNADO RATED EF1 WITH ESTIMATED MAXIMUM WINDS OF 
90 MPH. PATH LENGTH 18.2 MILES WITH A MAXIMUM WIDTH OF 400 YARDS. 
THE TORNADO TORE THROUGH THE WESTERN SIDE OF PLATO THROUGH THE 
EASTERN SIDE OF LESTER PRAIRIE. IT KNOCKED DOWN OR SNAPPED MANY TREES, 
COMPLETELY COLLAPSED SEVERAL FARM OUTBUILDINGS, ROLLED A CAMPER, 
PEELED TIN OFF THE ROOF OF MULTIPLE SHEDS AND OUTBUILDINGS, AND
KNOCKED DOWN MULTIPLE POWER POLES ALONG ITS PATH. IT ENDED ABOUT 6 
MILES SOUTHWEST OF MONTROSE WHERE THE CONCENTRATED TREE DAMAGE 
PATTERN COULD NO LONGER BE DETERMINED. IN ADDITION TO THE
TORNADO, DOWNBURSTS DAMAGED SEVERAL OUTBUILDINGS AND NUMEROUS 
TREES ACROSS E MCLEOD, NW CARVER, AND S WRIGHT COUNTY. 

EF SCALE: THE ENHANCED FUJITA SCALE CLASSIFIES TORNADOES INTO
THE FOLLOWING CATEGORIES.

EF0...WEAK......65 TO 85 MPH
EF1...WEAK......86 TO 110 MPH
EF2...STRONG....111 TO 135 MPH
EF3...STRONG....136 TO 165 MPH
EF4...VIOLENT...166 TO 200MPH
EF5...VIOLENT...>200MPH
